Our History

A historic mansion dating back to 1867

The Old Oaks Farm estate currently resides on 4.5 acres located approximately 50 miles north of Nashville, Tennessee on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee in Guthrie, Kentucky. Renewal and expansion efforts aim to bring the historic 1867 Greek revival mansion to its former glory with plans to turn the property into a modern rustic venue for hosting weddings, corporate events and more.

A house of romance, music, and art

This historic property was once the central location for country music star Deana Carter’s video and 1997 hit, Strawberry Wine, which won numerous awards and nominations that year. Additionally, it was also the site where American writer Robert Penn Warren documented his personal experience with the home in the poem titled “True Love.”
